The BEST Leftover Turkey Recipe

So are you tired of Thanksgiving leftovers yet? I am not big on turkey sandwiches or such so I am always looking for recipes to use up the leftover turkey from Thanksgiving! A while back one of my co-workers was talking about this recipe and I asked for it and LOVED it! It is made with chicken - I cheat and buy the rotisserie chicken at Wal-Mart - already cooked and seasoned yum! But I thought it should work just as well with turkey right? Well it did and it is so YUM!!!!!

Ingredients:
1 c. sour cream
1 can cream mush/chicken soup
2 c. COOKED chicken/turkey seasoned to taste
1 box stuffing mix or leftover stuffing (@ 2 cups?)
1 c. chicken/turkey broth
1 stick butter

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together sour cream, cream soup and turkey spoon into baking dish. Pour stuffing mix over top. In micro safe bowl melt butter, mix with broth and pour over stuffing in baking dish. Place in oven for 45min to 1 hour. Top will be nice and brown.

Now I am guessing if you use already made stuffing you would want to cut down or eliminate the butter and broth.

It is so yummy served with leftover green beans! I have even put green beans in it! and corn!

*Twilight* The movie review

Ok I FINALLY got to see Twilight the movie!!! My hubby and I went Thanksgiving night at 7! It was a good movie...but it PALED in comparison with the book! I actually read bunches of reviews and checked out pics from the movie before I went so as to not be too disappointed! I set my expectations VERY low - or so I thought - I was still kinda disappointed. Sorry but I was. I guess I can understand the things they left out - if they had put everything in it would have been really long - but I still would have gone! It's what they added that bugged me! The diner scenes and the extra scenes with the bad guys, oh and the field trip, the only scene I liked that they added was the Cullen's cooking for her - I though that was a sweet adition! Oh and Bellas outfit for prom?!?!?!?!? What the heck?!?! I also though Bella's room was all wrong! Oh and they left out one of my VERY fave quotes! I'M BETTING ON ALICE! Oh and the scene with Edward sucking the venom out at the end really ticked me off! It seemed as though the actors got better as the movie went along. It was VERY low budget and you could tell. Some of the scenes were very cheesy! I didn't think there was as much humor in the book as the movie! But all in all am I glad I went ABSOLUTELY, will I buy the DVD YES! I will probably like it better the next time I watch it! But onto fave scenes and character analasis!
Fave scenes: the BASEBALL SCENE - it was perfect!!!!! I loved it!!!!! The first time Edward and Bella come to school together!
Characters
Bella - LOVED HER!!! Perfect!
Edward - eh? maybe if he hadn't been Cedric Diggory in HP I would like him as Edward more! (side note got to see the HP HalfBlood Prince preview! gave me chills)
Charlie - LOVED HIM!!! I really really liked him! He was perfect!
Billy Black - PERFECT!
Jacob Black - PERFECT!
Alice - PERFECT except they made her a little more kookie than I think of her!
Rosalie - didn't think I would like her but DID! She was perfect
Emmet - PERFECT!
Jasper - awful! I don't know if it was the actor or his acting!
Carlise - better than I expected still not what I would have liked to see!
Esme - LOVED her didn't think I would but did!
Kids at Forks - eh alright I guess - Jessica was pretty good as far as the character goes, Mike too, didn't like Angela in the movie she was too much like Jessica - like that they threw in some different ethnicities!
Bad Vamps - could not have been more PERFECT!!!! I do NOT think James is hot but they were perfect! I would love to see Victoria's hair more red but other than that PERFECT!
That's my speal! Can't wait for the next one! I think it will be much better even though it's my least favorite book!

PTI Blog Hop *Bloom*

....where you are planted. That's how the saying goes! It's one of very few things I remember my mother saying to me OVER and OVER growing up! As in you're stuck here get over it! I am from a teeny tiny itty bitty town a wide spot in the road if you will! I was NEVER quite suited for it! I was far to unique for that town what with a name like Tessa in a see of Jennifers and Brandis?! No. Small midwestern town did not suite me well! And it has really affected me my whole life! I really feel like I was destined to grow up in the city or the very least the south! But any way you do what you can with what you have and ATTEMPT to BLOOM!! But that's not why you are here! This is the PTI blog hop! My first one!!!!!

I used felt flowers and stitched on them a la' Dawn McVey - that girl is amazing with FELT! I am sure I pale in comparison! The card is fairly simple giving the flowers the spotlight!!!!! I stamped the sentiment BLOOM WHERE YOU'RE PLANTED in the corner using Dark Chocolate ink it's from the set Just Hatched. The top of the card I used the NEW Spring Rain CS and added a strip of Dark Chocolate. I tied some American Crafts ribbon around it and then paper pierced on either side of the chocolate cs! Simple card but I like it! TFL!!!!

Coffee?

Now that the Twilight madness has subsided (other than my impending review after I see the movie) until New Moon is set to be released it's time to for a different project! I placed a nice big Papertrey Ink order in November for the release! I hadn't ordered for a LONG time and needed to catch up on colors I had missed. So while I mostly ordered paper, ribbon, and ink, I did order two sets as well Warm Happiness and Teacher's Apple (no WAY I could resist that!) I played
with Warm Happiness tonight! SO FUN!!!!!!!

First I stamped the polka-dot mug in Aquatic Splash Ink by Versamagic it's a Dew Drop shape - I own this ink because of Lauren Meader! She used it on a project I belive even with kraft and I went GOTTA have it! So now I own it and this is the first I've used it *blush*. It's small I forget I have things, oh come on like you never! But back to the card (focus Tessa). I then used the outline mug and stamped it in Dark Chocoalte ink. I then created a mask and stamped the oval underneath. I am so glad I tried masking! I then used the reverse mask and used the outline of the polka dot to go in and add detail to the dots! Not perfect I missed the inside of the handle but I am getting better at this masking thing! (second time people). I then stamped the word coffee under the mug. I added a strip of dark chocolate cs with score lines below that with some American Crafts ribbon that matches the Aquatic Splash ink PERFECTLY!!! Love the itty bitty dots on it! I also scored the bottom of the base of the card! A simple card but lots of little details! I am having fun getting comfortable with my tools!!!! TFL! I am participating in PTI's blog hop for the first time tomorrow!!!! NERVOUS!

Twilight Challenge #2 Quote

Do I have a project for you?!?! It is the perfect culmination of this week! I can hardly wait to show it to you! But I have to cause it's not done! So while you are waiting breathlessly (like Edward) here's a challenge for you that's also a hint!

Create a card using a quote from TWILIGHT (just Twilight not the others) and create a NEW card that focuses on the quote! Upload to SCS or your blog and link it up here and that will get you another entry into the drawing tomorrow!

Oh and I love the quote that they are using as the TAG for the movie!!!! So perfect!

Twilight Countdown Day 5!

So today is the day!!!! The movie is out! I can't wait to go see it! I know many of you already have! Lucky ducks! Today we are discussing Bella cause well the books are about her, from her pov and without her there just wouldn't be the books! I love Bella! She's sweet and kind and yet fierce and feisty! She feels like an outsider and I think we have all felt like that at one point (or many) in our lives! I decided to make a card using Bellas truck - it's kinda like her, slow, rough around the edges but loyal it just keeps on going even after all it's been through! It's got character and spunk!

And of course we have to have Bella quotes!

Stupid, shiny Volvo owner.
I decided it didn’t matter. It doesn’t matter to me what you are.
About three things I was absolutely positive. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was part of him — and I didn’t know how potent that part might be — that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.
I don’t speak Car and Driver.
This truck is old enough to be your car’s grandfather — have some respect.
Take it easy — my truck is a senior citizen.
Just give me a minute to restart my heart.
I’ll always want you. Forever.
I can’t always be Lois Lane. I want to be Superman, too.
You are my life. You’re the only thing it would hurt me to lose.
I’m betting on Alice.
and those are just the ones from Twilight!!!

So colored the truck with makers stamped the pinetree scene behind the truck using a mask. I colored directly onto the pinetree stamp from Noble Deer then stamped it twice. Right above the hood their was a space not sure why cause I trimmed very close but anyway I decided to write BELLA there! I chose a blue background cause Edward likes Bella in BLUE! The flower is for her softness and the hardware cause she's so tough too! I used Beate's Weekend Sketch for this card! I saw on her Blog she's reading Twilight too so I REALLY hope she likes this card!

I will have one more project for you tomorrow and hopefully if all goes as planned it will be a doozie! Contest remains open until Sunday! So comment away!

Twilight Countdown Day 4

It's time to take sides! Forget Sweden! Team Edward or Team Jacob?!?!?! and Why?

I am on Team Edward....is anyone really on Team Jacob? No really it is uncomprehendable to me! Edward and Bella are MEANT to be together! Her blood sings for him! It is fate, it is destiny, he loves and adores her! Honestly Jacob was there to see her through the tough times but he is a FRIEND! He is so much more immature and awkward! Edward is smooth and suave and classic! Their love though twisted is perfect!

Ok I'm done! Here's the card!
Team Edward - because werewolves don't sparkle!
I used the swirl from Baroque Motifs again - I like it for my Twilight cards! I emobssed it with Marquisette embossing powder which is all sparkly. The image of Edward with vampire I printed out and inked the edges then popped up on a scalloped square of silver cs. The round Team Edward is also a printed image that I stickled. The apple is a MS punch that I sticked too! I printed out the sentiment then used the word window punch and added red doodlebug rhinestones at either end! Some ribbon and viola'!

CS: Pure Poppy by PTI, Basic Black, Whisper White, Brushed Silver all SU
Stamps: Baroque motifs
Ink, Pallet Noir, Versamark
Accessories: PTI double stitched ribbon in Pure Poppy, Black Sheer Ribbon, STar Dust and Red Stickles, Doodlebug Rhinestones, Marquasite EP
Tools: SU Scallop Circle Punch, Marvy Pink Scallop Square Punch, Marvy Blue Square punch, EK Success 1 1/2 inch circle punch, MS apple punch

Movie Review

One of my co-workers got to go to an advanced screening of TWILIGHT last night!!!! I grilled her this morning! She said it was AWESOME!!!! Totally incredible! She said it started off slow the first 20 minutes are a little slow but totally rocked after that she said the 2 hours flew by! She said it was hard because there IS a lot of things that people who have read the books will notice as different! She said that in the movie the cast is perfect so that's good cause that worried me! I can't wait to go see it! I have to wait a WHOLE week!

Can't wait to hear what everyone else thinks! Anyone going tonight for the midnight showing?

So question: WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO GO SEE THE MOVIE??? Are you going to just sit back and wait for the DVD *gasp*?

Twilight Day 3 Project

Today's discussion and project focus on Edward and Bella as a couple! I don't know if I will get all my projects for this one loaded tonight or not! Cause I just spend the last hour and a half playing Quote Bingo in the Unity forum on SCS! I love those girls! Which is fitting cause my first (perhaps only) card for the day is using the Unity Image So and So Loves! My PSF Paula sent some to me for my birthday! Isn't she sweet?!?
This is a basic card! I added some red to the image to make the hearts stand out then I wrote each of their names in a heart, I wanted both their names in the same heart but that wasn't going to happen! I cut it out with my NEW top note die (LOVE it) and then trimmed it and matted it on a top note die cut I cut out of some black cardstock. I added some primas with a rhinestone brad. Makes me think of the wood they would have walked/ran through to get to the meadow which is the other card I hope to post tonight! This also qualifies for SCS Color Challenge 193! Kraft, Basic Black and Real Red!!!!

So Edward and Bella...we all love them, and the love between them! I actually struggle to put it into words because it is so incredible!!!!! It's so adorable how they can't get over the fact that the other one loves them and they are so incredibly devoted to each other!!! I think everyone no matter how happy they are in their relationship wish it was a bit more like Edward and Bellas!

Ready for Quotes?!? I like quotes if you haven't noticed!!!

-->
Do you truly believe that you care more for me than I do for you?
-->
Bring on the shackles — I’m your prisoner.

-->
Your hair looks like a haystack… but I like it.
I think this is my fave on this subject
-->
You are my life now.
-->
It’s like you’ve taken half my self away with you.
-->
I thought I’d explained it clearly before. Bella, I can’t live in a world where you don’t exist.

-->
... I’m here, and I love you. I have always loved you, and I will always love you. I was thinking of you, seeing your face in my mind, every second that I was away. When I told you that I didn’t want you, it was the very blackest kind of blasphemy.

-->
Your hold is permanent and unbreakable. Never doubt that.

-->
Isabella Swan? I promise to love you forever — every single day of forever. Will you marry me?
All of my best nights have happened since I met you.
Ok I will stop now! But I could go on! I wanna make a book of my fave quotes but I don't know if I can narrow it down enough!!!

Who is the Krafty Mama?

Hi I'm the Krafty one! :) I'm the Queen to 2 little knights and a sweet princess. I married my knight in shining armor (kevlar) over 8 years ago and I am a REAL mom, wife and substitute teacher trying to be the best I can be! I love "krafting" but tend to buy more supplies than I actually use. I love make up, nail polish, hair products and fashion but have been known to leave the house in sweats a messy bun and no make up! I love to cook and bake but am guilty of feeding my kids McDonalds in a pinch. I love direct sales and have joined too many to mention! I would love to get to know you!
