Scripture Sunday - BIBLE - Etsy Inspired - ODBD Sketch

Today's project is for Patter's ABC Scripture Challenge - this time's word is Bible. I wasn't sure what to do with this! I did just get a new bible for Christmas, as I continued thinking about it I thought The Bible for me is a way to grown in grace - to model your life after Jesus you have to read the Bible and know how he lived!

So I chose ODBD Grow in Grace Stamp set. I stamped the floral image and embossed it then colored it in with Copics and Adirondack Markers. I knew I wanted floral and purple because of this

a beautiful piece of wearable art from this week's Etsy Inspired Shop Nanny's Room. Isn't it lovely?!?!?

So with my stamp and colors and verse, I needed a layout!

Enter ODBD Sketch Challenge for this week! SWEET! and how appropriate?!?!?

I tweaked the sketch a little but you can still see all the elements!

Here is a close up of the flower that I used my quickie glue pen and added some dazzling diamonds to!

New Venture!!!

Hello blog land!!!!! WOW! I have seriously neglected my blog! My world has just been so busy crazy lately! I haven't had much time to scrap or stamp but I have been KRAFTY!!!! I have started making glass tile pendants! I also have been working on some other jewelry projects which I started back in 2006! I have just gotten a metal stamping kit so I can do that as well!!!!!!!!!!!! So I decided to re-open my etsy shop!!!! I will be featuring glass tile pendants with bling! Mother's bracelets as well as Military, Teacher, and Police/Fire Items! I will also have custom stamped necklaces with your child's name and birthstone. Also I will be listing metal works by my husband who goes by Schweder's Beaders. That man is so talented it is ridiculous!!!! We happily take custom orders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love Ashley's Etsy Inspired Challenges! This was mine for last weeks and I won! Woo Hoo! Check out Ashely's blog and her Etsy Challenges HERE! I am thinking about trying our for a spot as one of her Guest Designers! She has this weeks challenge posted and it looks like a GREAT one! Oh wait they are all great! Check it out HERE! To acheieve the look of the sparkly over the tree I stamped it then put versmark over the whole thing then dumped Iridescent Ice embossing powder over it. Shook it off and embossed it!
I just love the look of it!

I love Unity stamp company! Their hip hop on Thursdays is so fun! And yes you can win free stamps which is awesome of course but it really brings crafters together! I have met some of the nicest people through hip hop! Both online and even one in person! And I would like to meet more of them IRL! One of these nice people is Ashley! Check out her blog Heart Hugs! Each week she does an Etsy Inspired Challenge. She chooses an Etsy store and you are to choose something from that store to inspire your creation! And while I try to avoid Etsy (simply for financial reasons) not because it's not FABULOUS because it IS! I really like Etsy challenges! I always find something that inspires me! Last weeks shop (yes I am a week behind!) was PURPLE Toes Jewelry!!! I was inspired just by the name! So I searched for som

ehting that would inspire me and it wasn't hard! But I finally setted on a necklace with pearls and a black heart pendent with a PINK flower on it! (I went back tonight to link it and couldn't find it at first it has sold!)Here is the necklace. Isn't it purty???

So this was my inspiration. I think my card totally reflects this piece of jewelry! It has pearls, hearts and the colors. No flowers though! I also used Unity's Sketch Challenge #6 but only the sentiment is Unity so I don't know that I will link it in the forum. I started by chosing colors, BLACK, PINK PASSION and WHITE! I used Pink Passion for my base. Then ran a black piece through my Sizzix Big Kick embossing it with the Birds and Swirls CB folder. I went to my Always set by SU it is my most favoritest set from SU and that's saying something! I stamped the spring on a piece of pink passion randomly and then tied some black organza ribbon around it. I stamped the heart image in pink passion and cut it out. I added some pearls to it and added a little sentiment from unity underneath! What do you think?
