Winter White Trigger

I haven't had a chance to play along with the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger in several weeks and I missed it! So I was delighted to be instantly inspired by this weeks trigger!
Isn't that just beautiful!?!?!? My wedding cake couldn't have been more different! LOL not that it wasn't beautiful it was just very simple and square and had red roses on top of it.
This cake evokes everything a fairytale wedding should be!
White on white, black tie, flowers and shimmer!
You will see this reflected in my card!
I used SU's shimmer white paper for everything and sprayed the flower pieces with Marshmallow glimmer mist for even more shine!
I found it is very difficult to photograph a white on white card with shimmer! But I gave it my best effort!
This picture was the best that you could actually see the shimmer on and now I am not even sure you still can! I started with a shimmer white base. Added another shimmer white layer that I embossed with CB folder Birds and Swirls. I then trimmed a doily and stamped this sentiment on it - it's a SU set - can't remember the name of it! My friend Paula gave it to me! I like the texture the doily adds.
Here is a close up of the sentiment and you can see the soft silky white seam binding I tied around it - I am in love with seam binding!!!!!!! I stamped the sentiment in Tim Holtz Distress ink in Pumice Stone - I just love this non color!
And a close up of some of the flowers. I die cut a bunch of Tim Holtz Tattered Florals from SU shimmer white and then sprayed them with glimmer mist, layered them up and added a sparkly brad in the center.
Thanks for looking!
You can still play along with this week's Trigger until Sunday night! Just check out all the details HERE.

Snowing Gingerbread - Day 27

I just adore this week's Tuesday Trigger! I LOVE LOVE LOVE snowflakes! Well the crafty kind. The real kind I can do without. I knew I wanted to play when I saw the trigger and it reminded me of a card I had seen on SCS. Here is my version!
I used my purple marvy punch to punch out this large snowflake from Kraft cs. I inked it up to show some depth and then put a very vanilla layer behind it that I ran through my big shot with the Swiss Dots embossing folder.

I then tied some Dark Chocolate Bakers Twine around that panel. I layered it onto Close to Cocoa Cardstock and then Dark Chocolate. I finished it up by stamping let it Snow from Compliments of the Season by Waltzing Mouse Designs! It is the perfect let it snow I have been looking for, for ages!

I used the CPS sketch but didn't get it done and uploaded in time to enter it - oh well. I do  have time for the Tuesday Trigger and so do you if you hurry! Just create a card and upload and link it HERE by tomorrow (Sunday night).

Today I am thankful for leftovers - this is a rarity in my house so I am very thankful to have leftovers and not have to cook!

Tuesday Trigger - Fall Festival and Thankfulness Day 10

When I saw yesterday's Tuesday Trigger inspiration I knew which stamp set I was going to use! These Pumpkins/Vines from Heartfelt Creations that I got at CKC last month! I love that they coordinate with Spellbinders Pumpkin Nestabilities! I actually got these and another set. Course then I had to buy the nestabilities to go with them! They have so many stamps that coordinate with nestabilities and I am a total sucker for things that coordinate effortlessly! Now my favorite place to get Nestabilties and a whole host of other things is Creative Play Stamps! Love love love them! Free shipping over $50, great prices super fast shipping! Ok enough enabling (seriously go check them out NOW)
The trigger:

My card:
So I took this one pretty literaly. I was inspired by the pumpkins.
I stamped the Vanilla cs with the vines in Ripe Avocado then cut it in half. I stamped 4 pumpkins in Pallette Dark Chocolate on Really Rust then cut them out with the nesties - 3 at one time! I added some shimmer to Pearlescent Watercolor Set, 16 Colors
the leaves and pumpkins using Yasutomo Pearlescent Watercolors - had these forever - finally used them! Oh and they are super cheap - you can get them at Amazon! Love the results! Added some chocolate chip twill and called it good. Oh and two of the pumpkins are on pop dots for dimension.

Today I am thankful for my boss Kelly! She is really awesome!

Trigger Tuesday - A Study in Blue

Ah Trigger Tuesday - I missed you last week! It was just too busy! This week was too but I found some time last night after cleaning and inspired cause I had a nice clean workspace!
This week's Trigger was A Study in Blue
My high school colors were Royal Blue and white and I think I overdosed on them in HS cause now I am not a big fan! I decided to go with shades of blue for an icy, snowy card.
I used Papertrey Ink's Peace be Still to stamp the medium and large snowflakes on the blue panels in Stampin Up's Whisper White - I need a new white ink pad! Any suggestions? I then embossed them with clear EP cause that's all I had GRRRR my youngest likes to play in EP and glitter and such! I need some new EP as well. I then dumped dazzling diamonds on it for some sparkle! I added a bit of ribbon around the panels.
I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy then used the smallest snowflake to make a border. Thanks for looking!
This also fits the Flourishes Warm Winter Wishes challenge!
Supplies
CS: Night of Navy, Bashful Blue, Brocade Blue, Soft Sky all SU
Ink: Whisper White, Night of Navy, Soft Sky, and Bashful Blue all SU
Stamps: Peace be Still PTI
Other: Ribbon from stash

It's the most spooky time of the year!

I LOVE this time of year! The air turns cooler, perfect jeans and sweatshirt weather! Football is at it’s best! Go Savages! The fall foliage is stunning where I live and it’s almost Halloween (followed closely by my birthday)! Halloween has always been one of my most favorite holidays! I love dressing up and carving pumpkins and CANDY CORN! I have two Halloween inspired cards for you today! One is for the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger Challenge: Momento Mori.

I love the challenge picture - so eerie and spooky! The card that I made is not the typical kind of card you see from me but it turned out well I think!

The grave stone and overall cemetery feel was my inspiration! I started by cutting my card front from SU's only orange and I stamped (with some masking) grave stones on the orange in Smokey Shadow. It is just a little dollar stamp from Michael's but worked perfectly for this! It is the only actual stamping on this card. Then for the moon I punched a circle out of lemon tart cs and spritzed it with Yellow Daisy Glimmer mist that I got at CKC. I then put the fancy frame transparency on. On top of the transparency I punched out the fence with my MS border punch on Smokey Shadow cs and spritzed it with Black Magic Glimmer Mist and adhered it to the card. I thought the raven/crow was a fun little addition and it came in the package with the frame. It is popped up on dimensionals and is all glittery! Finally at the bottom I had some space so I took some seam binding that I had glimmer misted and crumpled and I pleated it for the bottom. I decided that it didn't need a sentiment on the front that it said enough as it is!

My next card is a nice CAS little card - but I LOVE it!
So my friend Jaala over at Witch Crafts enabled me to get the Spellbinders Candy Corn dies - not that it was hard as I mentioned before I LOVE all things Candy Corn! It pretty much went like this: Jaala - so I want to make a banner with my candy corn dies. ME - candy corn dies? what, where, how do I get them? And I ordered them from Creative Play Stamps that day. Anywho, I had this idea for a card with just the big candy corn and this is what I came up with. Because it is so simple I gave it some pizazz by Glimmer Misting each piece! Super simple but oh so cute! I had to go buy the Happy Halloween stamp because get this - I didn't have one! Trick or Treat, boo and several other but not an actual HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Stamped it in Pallete Black Noir and there you have it! Oh and the candy corn candle? Cute right? It's a locally made candle by SAHM's candles. They are the best! long lasting, strong scent and cheap! You can find them at the Rusty Chandelier or Victorian Joe, I think she has a FB page too. Well Thanks for stopping by today! I have more to share with you if I can find the time this week with Parent Teacher Confrences!

Embrace Life - Trigger Tuesday challenge

I just LOVE Cath's Blog Moxie Fab World ! There is always fabulousness on it! Every Tuesday she posts an inspiration piece ala' the one above and invites papercrafters to be inspired to create something based on the picture. Fun Right? It's called the Tuesday Trigger - HERE is the link to the specific post - you still have time to participate! So here is my creation triggered by this picture - I think the inspiration is pretty obvious.
I like the damask and the colors! The background is Vintage Flourish by Stampabilities that I got either at Mikes or HL. I stamped it several times in Hawaiian Shores on Hawaiian Shores cardstock to create the background. The image and sentiment are both from the SU set Embrace Life and I received them through PIF or Wish RAK I don't remember which . I colored in the blooms with some Raspberry Fizz ink I smeared on a stamp case then picked up with my water brush. I cut out the image and it's matte using my rectangle nestabilities. The sentiment I punched out with SU's new Decorative Label punch and sponged the edges with Raspberry Fizz ink. I wanted to try out my new waffle paper from SU so I attempted using my Fiskars Threading Water border punch. It did not go very well though it totally could have been user error! If anyone has any tips on using waffle paper I would LOVE to hear them! Then to cover the edge I used some bitty dotted Hawaiian Shores Ribbon. Thanks for looking and why not join me in the challenge!

Who is the Krafty Mama?

Hi I'm the Krafty one! :) I'm the Queen to 2 little knights and a sweet princess. I married my knight in shining armor (kevlar) over 8 years ago and I am a REAL mom, wife and substitute teacher trying to be the best I can be! I love "krafting" but tend to buy more supplies than I actually use. I love make up, nail polish, hair products and fashion but have been known to leave the house in sweats a messy bun and no make up! I love to cook and bake but am guilty of feeding my kids McDonalds in a pinch. I love direct sales and have joined too many to mention! I would love to get to know you!
