Review of the Ribbon Ring and...................Treats

Here it is my long awaited review of the ribbon ring - well ok maybe not long awaited. I learned about the ribbon ring from a friend on splitcoast stampers. She had won a sample off a blog - she's always winning things off blogs - so Jen Marie you are not eligible to win this ok - love ya! Anyhoo I went to the website http://www.ribbonring.com/ to check it out for myself. Looked kinda cool! Then I saw this little blurb about a bloggers sample - I thought heck I have a blog - I have ribbon - why not. So I filled out the form and she sent me my own little sample of the cards. They were so easy to use and so nice and well there just weren't enough of them!!!! I participate in alot of ribbon swaps on SCS to get all the colors of SU ribbon so I have ALOT of loose ribbon - I had a BEFORE picture but I can't find it! :( My ribbon was EVERYWHERE! It was pretty scary. So of course I ordered MORE! Very reasonable! Very quick shipping! So on to the review:
What: Ribbon Ring
How Much: $10 for starter set
Pros: organizes ribbon, pretty to look at, no more tangles, easy to use, no kinks from cards
Cons: cat seems to think it is a new toy designed for her amusement!, and it's ORANGE and those of you who know me at all know that I'm not a big fan of orange - but it's just the writing and the dots so not a big deal - really just a petty personal prefrence!
Buy: YES!
And on to the treats which I know is what you are all reading for anyway! If you would like to own a little Tessa's ribbon ring treat - that is to say a ring and 5 cards please leave a post telling me your FAVORITE ribbon ever - color, type everything! I will leave this open until Sunday at 4 pm - why 4? cause I like the number ok yes I am odd I know this - then I will let Kaden draw a comment out of a hat and that person will win!!!!!!

  1. Hmmmmmm my favorite ribbon.

I'd have to say white organdy ribbon, because I can dye it AND omg, the wide satin ribbon in purely pom and choc. chip. That stuff is GORGEOUS!

  5. I love SU's Grosgrain ribbons, in all colors!! They are perfect to adorn any card or scrap page and all the color choices are great. Favorite color is Regal Rose, but now that is only in the 5/8" second fav is Chocolate Chip, also only in the larger...what happened here?? LOL But, I do use a lot of white cause you can dye it and chalk it.

My Favorite ribbon to date is SU Chocolate Grosgrain. I love using it with brads, eyelets and even just tieing it in a knot or bow. But then again I do like anything milk chocolate!!!

Cool review, Tessa! And congrats on your hits1

Favorite ribbon, wow, that's hard! Ribbon is my favorite embellishment! (Well, tied with sttickles anyway.) Probably May Arts polka dot organdy in 3/8 inch. I got some as a gift once and it is awesome! And if I have to pick a color, then I guess the aqua, but they're all great!

  9. What a neat system!
My favorite ribbon has to be chocolate chip narrow grosgrain - which SU doesn't sell anymore! :(

  11. I don't actually have any ribbon, so I don't have a specific favorite yet. I'm new to stamping and things like cardstock and stamps are a higher priority than ribbon at this point. BUT I am making my own wedding invitations, so we're going to use some thin satin navy ribbon for that.

  12. I just found PapertreyInk and they have some gorgeous ribbon. They have satin, satin dots, twill, grosgrain. Great quality and oh so yummy. You can't beat good quality ribbon. I was hooked on the cheap stuff but after trying SU ribbon and now PTI ribbon, there is no comparison.

I just could not choose a favorite ribbon. I stand in front of the ribbons and love ALL their colors and types and can barely choose from among them for a specific project. Everyone has such beautiful colors!

Who is the Krafty Mama?

Hi I'm the Krafty one! :) I'm the Queen to 2 little knights and a sweet princess. I married my knight in shining armor (kevlar) over 8 years ago and I am a REAL mom, wife and substitute teacher trying to be the best I can be! I love "krafting" but tend to buy more supplies than I actually use. I love make up, nail polish, hair products and fashion but have been known to leave the house in sweats a messy bun and no make up! I love to cook and bake but am guilty of feeding my kids McDonalds in a pinch. I love direct sales and have joined too many to mention! I would love to get to know you!
