So are you tired of Thanksgiving leftovers yet? I am not big on turkey sandwiches or such so I am always looking for recipes to use up the leftover turkey from Thanksgiving! A while back one of my co-workers was talking about this recipe and I asked for it and LOVED it! It is made with chicken - I cheat and buy the rotisserie chicken at Wal-Mart - already cooked and seasoned yum! But I thought it should work just as well with turkey right? Well it did and it is so YUM!!!!!
Ingredients:
1 c. sour cream
1 can cream mush/chicken soup
2 c. COOKED chicken/turkey seasoned to taste
1 box stuffing mix or leftover stuffing (@ 2 cups?)
1 c. chicken/turkey broth
1 stick butter
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together sour cream, cream soup and turkey spoon into baking dish. Pour stuffing mix over top. In micro safe bowl melt butter, mix with broth and pour over stuffing in baking dish. Place in oven for 45min to 1 hour. Top will be nice and brown.
Now I am guessing if you use already made stuffing you would want to cut down or eliminate the butter and broth.
It is so yummy served with leftover green beans! I have even put green beans in it! and corn!
