I haven't blogged in awhile.
It's been even longer since I did anything crafty.
Going on 3 weeks now since I stamped or scrapped!
I don't know what is wrong.
I have been thinking alot about blogging.
Whether it is worth it or not.
I am having alot of personal issues right now too.
Nothing major - just battling some demons!
I don't know when I will blog again - craft wise anyway.
The fact that I haven't done anything crafty in so long worries me -
course I haven't done much of anything here lately.
I haven't forgotten my readers - though I wonder how many would come if it weren't for
the SCS group.
Been wondering a great deal about the people in my life.
Anyone who knows me very well knows I have serious issues with relationships - of any kind.
I guess I will sign off for now.......

Hey Tessa --
ReplyDeletei know what you mean about whether or not blogging is worth it...when we were away on a vacation - it was so nice to not "have" to blog or "have" to do anything... if it ever becomes too much pressure - than it is no longer fun... blogging should be about having fun and enjoying...
take some time off to see if you still want to blog.. whatever choice you make - it should just be about whatever is simple, makes you happy ....
sending you lots of hugs,
Sankari :)
Hi Tessa...sorry to hear you are a little down lately. We all have times where we don't feel like doing much and need to focus on ourselves. Take care of yourself, do what is best for you. Though I don't always comment, I do visit you...sending you {{hugs}} and well wishes.
ReplyDeleteI haven't done anything crafty in over a MONTH. Don't worry, when the mood strikes ya, do something crafty! And if it doesn't...we'll all hunt you down. Just kidding. :-)
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that you're a little blue Tessa... sometimes we need a break to re-group and get our bearings in order... I'll still be here when you're ready to come back :)
ReplyDeleteHope all gets beter real soon!
{big hugs}, margie
I totally agree with Sankari, that it should make you happy, and if it doesn't, well, life is too short to do things that don't make you happy.
ReplyDeleteI can tell you that I would miss you GREATLY if you weren't crafting/blogging anymore! I always look forward to your fun posts and beautiful projects. You've been a fun friend to have in bloggin' land;)
Hang in there, we're here for you...and if you need a break for a bit to figure it all out- we'll be here should you decide to come back! (((hugs)))
Hi Tessa!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry that you have been down, lately. I have been worried about ya, girl! I hope things look up for you soon. We all have those yucky little demons that creep up to bite us, time and again. I am dealing with some myself as of late. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Be strong, and if you take time off, i'll be here waiting for you!

Hi Tessa -
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if you were okay, so I'm glad to see your post! I don't always comment, but I do stop by (like Kerry).
Its important to take time off to recharge your batteries and wait till the spark of creativity hits you again.
I blog purely for myself :-) and will do it as long as I find joy in it. Wonderful readers and making friends like you, is just icing on the cake :-)
Take time for yourself and let me know if I can do anything for you.
inky hugs-
Rebecca
Tessa dear! I hope that you are feeling better soon! I get in these moods too. I'm not in your SCS group and I come read your blog. :)
ReplyDeleteHey There Tessa...
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear that you are sad and feeling down... take care of yourself and know how many times when i was in a funk... I always cheered up be seeing your post of kind words... take care of YOU and do something to make yourself happy! selfish is not bad! smile, sleep late and eat chocolate chip pancakes... and find your happy place!
I hope you get to feeling better soon. I think we all have times when we don't enjoy the things that we have loved in the past. I hope that you will get the bug to blog and craft back soon, but you have to do what you need for yourself.
ReplyDeleteBe happy.
Totally get it. I have not done anything in a little while myself. I am just overwhelmed with being sick, the deployment...LIFE! I can't stand it when LIFE gets in the way! :)
ReplyDeleteBlogging should be fun, therapeutic, or whatever you want it to be! Take a breather...your mojo will come back. :) And we, your faithful blogger buds will be here (perhaps with no new posts ourselves!!).
Don't worry, I've gone long stretches too without crafting but in the end I always get back too it. Life sometimes keeps us busy and sometimes finding time for ourselves is hard and when you do find time; crafting is not a priority, relaxing is.
ReplyDeleteI really have enjoyed seeing your work and comments. You are such a fun and your blog is so fun to read. Hope to hear from you soon.
Oh, Tessa! How I wish I could come pick you up, and whisk you away on a Girls Night Out! We have all felt this way, things come up, we get in a funk, things get hard, at times you can just scream, but what good does that do? I go stretches without crafting, and tell myself I have to go make something. But, WHY do I have to? I don't! Neither do you! When the mood hits, and you feel like it, you will be back! Sometimes I have to make myself plan club projects, other times I can't tear myself away from my craft desk. If it weren't for the SCS group, I wouldn't have many visitors, and that's ok with me! I enjoy it, when I have time, and it's for me! I hope you feel better and SOON! Check your mail in a few days...
ReplyDeleteOhhh Tessa, just do what is right for you! We will still be here for you whatever you decide.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the blogging thing! I have not blogged in a week. I just haven't had the time to make anything! Sorry to hear you are down right now! Just do what makes you happy and content!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you are feeling down. Hope things look up for you soon.
ReplyDeleteIn the meantime, take the time off from blogging - we'll still be here when you get back!
Remember, "blurfing" should be fun!
Hi Tessa,
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to check in and see how you are doing?? Hope things are going well and that you are happy!!! And even though we have never officially met each other in this magical land of blog world... I am so happy that I got to know about your blog ! You are just so sweet and encouraging - and so know that whatever you are going through -- we are here!
Sending you lots of big hugs!!!
S.
I totally understand what you are saying. Sometimes you just need a break and then you come back with a fresh new perspective. Evaluating what is important in your life is the way we grow. Take care of yourself first. Sending a hug,
ReplyDeleteHi Tessa - sorry to hear you've been feeling down - as you can see from the comments we all feel like that - and I think its good to take a break for a while - and craft when you want to not because you feel you have to. I receieved a little gift and a card from a cyber friend yesterday who'd noticed that I'd not been around much what with one thing and another. That gift of kindness from someone I don't know really touched me and actually gave me a creative boost yesterday. Hope you find yours soon. I'd miss seeing your lovely layouts.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
ReplyDeleteBlogging should be fun and if it is no longer fun for you, I support your decision 100%. I am sorry your demons are coming up. I have enjoyed getting to know you from Serendipity and through our blogger group. You are a great person, don't let the past bring you down. I know it is easier said than done, but I know you are strong. Hang in there.
I can def relate a bit right now. Ever since my dog died, I have had a really hard time.
Just wanted to leave some {{{hugs}}}
ReplyDeleteTessa, Hugs to you! I am glad to see that you are doing better:)
ReplyDeleteI did make the decision to shut down my blog. There are times when I wish that I had not, but it has taken some of "pressure" off. At least I can say that I tried it.
I have met some great people...now if they are all still there when I come out of my funk...we'll see:)
