I love my daughter so much! God truly knew what he was doing when he surprised us with a little girl! I had no idea how much I wanted a girl until she was here! I was perfectly happy with my two boys. I was content......and then came Ava Elizabeth. My girly twirly princess! She's only two 1/2 but she is my mini me, a girlier version of me when I was a kid cause I was a tomboy! She can be so incredibly sassy. I love her! She always wants her nails painted when I do mine and is getting pretty good at letting me file her nails and sit while they dry. Here she is wearing Julep's Elisa. It looks great on her, dontcha think?

Here she is with her mani and a Krusteaz Orange Cranberry muffin, which were super yummy btw!

She is so cute! She fills a hole in my heart I never even knew was there! I can't imagine our life without her!!!!

Today is the day! She's a year old! Er 12 months! Whatever! In just a year's time this precious little angel has completely changed our family and hearts and lives for the better! I am so happy to call her mine! She has been sick so I am super happy to get any good shots in her 12month sticker!

11 months and TEETH!

I still can't believe that this little miracle girl is almost a year old. She brings me more joy than I could have ever imagined! She FINALLY got teeth over Thanksgiving 4 of them!!!!

My birthday was also this month so we went to Boudreaux here in town - it was great! So glad my girls Shelly and Natalie could join me!

Ava is 10 months

Here she is 10 months and super drooly and snotty! LOL! Hope that means some teeth soon as she is also CRANKY! She is ALMOST walking on her own so very close but much more cautious than Kaden, and Blake well Blake was content to be carried till 15 months so you know.

October also means that Blake turned 5! I love this sweet boy so much! We had his birthday at Monkey Cove Water park and stayed the night in a hotel! It was fun!

October also means football - lots and lots of football! Kaden got his first flag this year! So proud of him!

And of course pumpkin carving! Getting ready for the big night!

9 months - really?

9 months! REALLY? How did my little bitty baby already turn 9 months and start pulling up and cruising along the furniture? Still NO teeth though! Crazy!

This month I also got to meet Niki Sivils! I was the Origami Owl vendor at Scrapapalooza in Springfield!

I also got to meet Stacey Atchley who designs the Sketch books! I love Scrapapalooza and will be back in March!

and my Baby boo started pre-school this was the look on his face when we left. But by the time we got there and went inside we were both crying! He's my snuggle bug! Can't believe he's almost 5 and going to school!

Look at my pretty pretty princess! She is so pretty! Ok so I might be a tad bit biased. Nah she's stunning! And she's crawling everywhere! She loves chasing after her brothers!

August also means back to school for Kaden and I can't believe he's in second grade! WOW! This will be my 4th year teaching 4th grade!

Earlier this month we went to visit mom for her birthday and went to the Kind and I musical in her little town of Rock Port -I was very impressed!

Time is flying by!
Can't believe she's 7 months! She started crawling like crazy this month!
Still no teeth!

Kaden turned 8 on the 1st! Can't believe my oldest is 8 - this is his camo cake that I made him!

This month now that ball is finally over we did swimming lessons! Both boys did great but especially Kaden!

Ava went swimming for the first time this month! She liked it I think!

We also spent LOTS of time at the ballfield in June! Practice and games we were there at least 3 times a week!

Happy Leap Day!

Ava is 2 months old today (so glad it's a leap year so it's official ;) lol)

I took lots of pictures but I am just too darn tired (being back at work and all) to go upstairs and edit them tonight so you get this phone pic! She's still incredibly adorable!!!!!

This month she has started to smile for real! It is so cute she smiles with one side of her mouth and then the other! Her fave people to smile at are big brother Kaden and Daddy. She also held her rattle by herself and is grabbing onto stuffed animals and such. We go to doctor in a week for a well child check.

Ava's Tutu

So lots of people on FB and SCS were asking me how I made Ava's tutu, especially since they know I don't really sew. It requires no sewing!!! MY kind of project!

I got the idea off of pinterest and THIS blog.
All you need is a stretchy headband which I got from Hobby Lobby for 79 cents and tulle. I got two spools one of dark purple and one of light. It could be done with just one spool. The spools were like $1.50 each at Hobby Lobby half off (everything at HL goes on sale if you wait!) So the tutu was less than $4 with tulle left over! (more than enough for other projects, like her headband).

To make the tutu cut 56 strips of tulle (I think). Mine were 24 inches long because they would be doubled so 12 i nches and I want this tutu to last for pictures the whole year. If you don't need it to last that long you can adjust accordingly. You then tie the tulle to the holes in the headband. VERY easy! Trim up when finished if necessary and viola you have a cheap cute tutu. I see more of these in our future!

Let me know what you think! I think her Halloween costume is going to involve a tutu!

Ava is One Month Old!

How is that even possible? I JUST had her! This means I go back to work Tuesday! :( So very sad about that!

Look how smart she is! She even knows she's one month old!

This one's my fave for some reason! I used a lovely treatment in PSE for all these - really like it!

Look how long the tutu is! It will be neat when she's bigger and it's not so long anymore! I think it will give a good perspective! Oh and I made her tutu I saw the idea on Pinterest and made her headband! The stickers are from Purple Possum on Etsy.
