It's Blog Hop time again!
Here is this month's challenge: "There is always a lot of focus on Christmas in our industry this time of year, as that is what the majority of the population celebrates. However, this month's blog hop is dedicated to those that celebrate winter holidays other than Christmas. Create a project that celebrates Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or some other winter holiday as we embrace everyone's beliefs in a celebration of diversity through paper crafting."
I wanted to make a Happy New Year card but quickly realized I don't have any New Year's stamps.....oh Nichole - can you work on that please?
So I already had this idea in my head and just went with it. It is a generic wintery card that could be given to anyone for any winter holiday. I got the idea from a Paper Crafts magazine to layer the punched strips of paper, and I love how it turned out - though you don't wanna know how many extra strips I had to make cause they weren't straight enough and I had to rip them off and re-do them! When those ATG guns say permanent - they mean it! I used two patterned papers from one of PTI's first patterned paper collections Everyday Blessings when it was still 6x6! I also used Aqua Mist and Ocean Tides cardstock and patterned them. To finish off the look I used some White Grosgrain ribbon from CTMH to attach a little tag (blue marvy punch) that I inked with Ocean Tides and stamped Peace Be Still on with Ocean Tides.
Thanks for stopping by!
